Gabriel Tamas Finally, a fresh take on the whole Nordic Neo-Folk movement. After this genre's mainstrem succes, heaps of bands surfaced, each less original than the other. This is certainly not the case when we talk about Byrdi!! This project has a unique and original sound. Their dwelling into a more recent folklore, both in musical and lyrical themes makes this album a one of a kind experience, and exposes the listeners to other faces of Norwegian folklore! Favorite track: Fanden Og Kvitekrist.

Grimrik The fool I am, I ignored this for a too long time, even though my friend from Wolcensmen recommended this too me - too bad! Now, that the man behind Byrdi as well as me are working with Wolcensmen on their upcoming full-length album, I listened closely to this and was overwhelmed!!! This is a totally great and varying pagan folk album that you definitely should NOT miss! It combines fierce norse elements that prepare you for another war with more quiet and beautiful moments!

Fera Awesome band! Keep on going, with this touch of "corrupted nature sounding" Favorite track: Fanden Og Kvitekrist.

about

Byrdi Fall, Kingdom of Norway

The music and expression is the culmination of our life paths, our experience and our deep desire to gain more wisdom. We always try to listen to what the nature tells our gods within to do. And one never finds out if one never seeks to help one self.
